Michelle

 Lead Technician

Michelle is a true Mainer, born and raised in Cape Elizabeth, and has been an animal lover all her life. After attending college in London, England for fashion design, she realized her passion for animals was her true calling. Michelle has worked in the animal field for almost 20 years. She got her start at a local animal shelter, where her love for wanting to help animals only grew. Michelle took her love for fashion (with a twist) and became a certified dog and cat groomer, before she turned to nursing, where she has been for the past 11 years. Michelle has a special passion for education, to help animals live their best lives with their humans, as well as a love for dentistry.

In her spare time, Michelle enjoys anything arts and crafts, movies and true crime, and spending time with family and friends. She shares her home with her 2 poodle mixes, Neville and Lexie, and her two cats, Loki and Groot.

Whitney

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Whitney was born and raised in central Maine. She graduated from Becker College in Worcester, MA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary Science with a Pre-Veterinary Concentration in 2014, along with an Associate of Science degree in Veterinary Technology. She has been a technician in the veterinary field for the past 10 years. Her favorite part about veterinary medicine is getting the chance to work with several different species. She has worked with cats, dogs, small mammals, birds, and reptiles. Whitney loves learning about all kinds of animals, even if she doesn’t work with them on a regular basis. She lives with her boyfriend and has a 9 year old Retriever mix named Penny. Her hobbies include watching movies, sports, traveling, reading, and puzzles.

Dana

Licensed Veterinary Technician

Dana graduated from Mount Ida College in 1996 with a B.S. as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Her focus in college was wildlife and zoo medicine; however, since then the majority of her experience has been with domestic animals in small animal practices.

She lives in her house in Southern Maine with her husband, two English bulldogs, two ball pythons, a tortoise, and foster Capuchin monkey from Helping Hands Monkey Helpers for the Disabled. She is a volunteer for a dog rescue known as SNORT(Short Nose Only Rescue Team) as well as at Saco River Wildlife Center. Hobbies include traveling, hiking, camping, and motorcycling.

Kathy

Veterinary Assistant

Kathy was born and raised in Massachusetts. She now resides in Kennebunk with her orange cats Lynk and Athena. Kathy started working with animals right after she graduated from high school.

This background is what led her here to Biddeford Animal Hospital. In her free time, you can find her practicing sign language, reading, listening to rock music and playing volleyball.

Katey

Veterinary Assistant

Katey graduated from the University of Maine in Orono, and a few years later discovered her career in veterinary medicine in 2016. Animals have always been a huge part of her life and she can’t wait to continue to learn a grow in her profession. She currently has three cats, Jack Black, Orange Cat and Maggie, as well as a 13 year old English Bulldog, Bowser.

When she’s not in the clinic, you will most likely find her in the Dressage arena working and competing with her horse Otto. Katey also likes to dabble in the art of baking, cake decorating and crafting.

Lexie

Veterinary Assistant

Lexie’s love and passion for animals has been since day one. Growing up in a home with foster dogs and pets of their own, she can’t imagine her life without one! Lexie has also been working in the Veterinary Field since 2019 and enjoys everyday at work! She has a soft spot in her heart for horses since she has been riding since she could walk. You can find her spending time with her Mini Donkey Lewy and her Micro Miniature Scottish Highlander Frosty! And of course her best four legged friend Earl, an American Hairless Terrier tags along on the barn days too!

When she’s not working or at the barn you can also find her working on her trucks with Earl or going to truck shows during the summer months.

Gabbie

Veterinary Assistant

Gabbie grew up on a farm in southern Maine, which led her to a career in veterinary medicine. She graduated from the University of Maine in 2022 with a bachelors in Animal and Veterinary Science with a concentration in Pre-Vet. Right after graduation she started working as a Vet Assistant and hasn’t stopped since!

In her free time, she enjoys supporting her husband at stock car races and spending time with her three cats, Leia, Mara and Aayla and her Boston Terrier Mando.
