Lead Veterinary Technician
Rachel joined the team in August 2012. Rachel is a military wife and has lived in many places including Colorado, Kentucky, Washington, Germany and now Maine. Rachel is also a foster mom for cats and kittens, something that she thoroughly enjoys! Rachel considers a soccer field her "home away from home" where she can be found most week nights and weekends watching her boys play competitively. She shares her home with her husband Dave, her three boys Cole, Luke and Nick, her five cats MacGyver, Murdoc, Guenhwyver, Piper and Nala, as well as her two German Shepherds Sarge and Sasha.
Heather was born in Biddeford and has lived in Maine her whole life. She currently lives with her three cats (Churro, Puck, and Kubota) and her Hound mix, Red. She also has her corn snake (Medusa) and her ball python (Andromeda). Heather has been with Biddeford Animal Hospital since the summer of 2003; she began here with as an intern from New Hampshire Community Technical College. She graduated from NHCTC (now Great Bay) in 2004 and has since been working full-time with us. She enjoys learning and has been improving her skills at drawing animals. Other interests include behavior, nutrition, and reptiles. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her pets, reading and spending time with friends and family.
Katelin has lived in southern Maine her entire life and has no plans to leave the place she loves. Her pets include Banjo, a lab mix; Little Man and Lady, Quarter Horses; and three cats. In warmer seasons, she can be found enjoying trail runs with Banjo and taking Little Man over fences. Katelin joined BAH as a veterinary assistant in 2016. She completed her Veterinary Technology degree at York County Community College and received her license this fall.
Kelly is a student at York Community College working towards her degree in Veterinary Technology. She currently lives in Biddeford with her boyfriend and one very sassy cat. In her time away from the hospital and school she likes to trail rider her Thoroughbred horse, read any novel she can get her hands on, go hiking and spend time at the beach.
Sarah was born and raised in Albany, NY. She recently relocated to Maine with Elsie, her trusted canine companion. Sarah obtained her BS in Animal Science from SUNY Cobleskill and is currently working towards her degree in Veterinary Technology. She has a passion for marine life, exotic pets, and Pit Bull Terriers. When Sarah is not at BAH, you will likely find her on the beach or she will be exploring Maine with Elsie.
Desiree is our newest Vet Assistant. She has lived in Maine her whole life. Her passion for animals is what brought her to Biddeford Animal Hospital. She has a cat named Oreo and a horse named Janie C. She also lives at home with Ivy, a Pitbull, Willy, a Bichon Frise and Izzy the family's cat. She loves working with cats and dogs as well as small animals and chickens. When not at BAH she can be found out riding her horse or spending her time outdoors with family and friends.
