Recent Community Activites

At Biddeford Animal Hospital, we pride ourselves on giving back to our community in many ways.  We have helped out the Animal Welfare Society in Kennebunk over the years with numerous donations.  We have hosted many groups of students from the Biddeford School System on field trips to our hospital. Several students from the local high schools have been welcomed to Biddeford Animal Hospital to “job shadow” to learn about working in a veterinary hospital. If you have a suggestion for an activity we may be able to engage in to further help the community, please give us a call at 207-282-6390 and ask for the practice manager.  We would love to hear from you.

Below are some pictures from our most recent charitable events.

We held our second annual "Food for the Holidays" drive to help the animals in need at AWS. During the drive we collected over five hundred total cans and bags of pet food from pet owners coming into the hospital.  We also collected numerous toys and other supplies.  Thanks to everyone who donated and we look forward to next years drive.

On Sunday September 13th, staff members of the Biddeford Animal Hospital and their families participated in the 15th Annual  Strut Your Mutt Walk.  This walk is the major fund raising event for the Animal Welfare Society in Kennebunk.  It was great weather and the pets loved it.  Be sure to join us again next year for this great cause.

In July we had the students of the Biddeford Primary School Summer Program visit the hospital for a field trip.  They got to have a tour of the hospital, practiced putting suitures in a teddy bear, and learned about how to interact with animals.  The students had a wonderful time and learned a bunch!
